Fun fact: that 55% that used to be Mexico? There were towns and cities already there. Like Albuquerque and San Antonio. People in addition to Native Americans were there. The United States came to them. Oh, and the two most populous states, California and Texas, native English speakers are a statistical minority.
In Texas ballots are in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.

@Crazywaterspring The Texas Rangers were also created to ethnically cleanse the state. But I doubt that is covered in school.
