There is an old saying "all that glitters ain't gold"

Is there truly a riff or do they want you to think it is.
Tesla / Elon was losing money in his association with DOGE / Trump, what better way to slow down or stop his money losses / destruction of his property other than a separation from Trump in a somewhat hostile manner?

After all Trump's big beautiful bill benefits the rich.

I think you mean "rift" as "riff" implies they're joking with each other (which, to be honest, can't be ruled out)

Because my opinion is it's fake news, a joke on the people, untrue.

Elon is losing money, because of his working for the White House, Billionaires mostly stick together.
