People are complaining about the 'prospect' of Trump imposing tariffs, but so far, he has not imposed tariffs on Canada or Europe. This is because he is bound by a Trade contract that was signed by him over 5 years ago which did not include tariffs and is still legally binding for the USA.

@MasterLee Yes, he is. He negotiated a new agreement with Canada and Mexico during his first term. He signed it.

This is the agreement he now says is unfair and is now trying to rip up.

Actually, you don't. Otherwise you'd understand why people complain and you wouldn't have to expose your lack of understanding by coming on here asking why people complain about tariffs which have not yet been put into effect.
