I see this "unhinged rant" buzzword thrown around a lot, in politics. It seems to refer to when someone of whom you wish to present in a bad way has a discussion or a speech that last for more than a few minutes.
@Aami1 I was going to comment and your dismissing "unhinged rants" as partisan rhetoric but thought better of it.

While Trump, imo, is the poster boy for unhinged ranting, this one was pretty mild, and seems most remarkable only because it was aimed at Putin.

@MistyCee A positive and a positive make a positive. A negative and a negative make a positive. Dismissing dismissals is not dismissal. Else you'd have a never ending loop of "I know you are, but what am I?" Saying "you hate people being hateful", doesn't mean you are hateful.

@ChipmunkErnie Nice, nice. "let me tell you, person I've never met, what I think you've done in your life, in a putting down way that backs up what I already want to think". You've added absolutely nothing to what's been said, other than showing your poor character.

@ChipmunkErnie Pointing out that your immediate resorting to making negative comments about what I do or don't know and how that is poor character does not mean I'm "insulting". Stop projecting and instead try an actual argument.

@ChipmunkErnie Ad hominem now. Cool.

@ChipmunkErnie No, you've just been engaging in ad hominem. Someone who has assumed right from the get go that they know what I think and have done and then attack me as a person is not going to be open to actually listening.
