Kwek00 So all you have is cliche insults. Got it.
I am sorry but I am not going to give you a history lesson of the last 30 years in Eastern Europe. Sorry.
Those offers of membership into NATO was made by Bill Clinton as a policy of effectively annexing Eastern Europe through other means and to further the narrative that the US defeated the soviets in the Cold War. This was done in direct violation of the very agreements that ended the Cold War and the POTUS was told as early as 1992 that this would lead to war with Russia. Just a matter of when, not if. Hell Biden's own CIA director is on record in 2008 that forcing the NATO issue in Ukraine was a stupid idea that would lead to war.
And to claim that various nations joined NATO in the 1990s because of a threat from Russia is just factually wrong and an insult to people's intelligence.
Russia was under the "leadership" of an incompetent alcoholic who was in debt peonage and beholden to the US for his political survival. It is why Clinton felt free to violate the agreements without consequences. 30 years later is someone else's problem.
The selling point for NATO in the 90s was also a lie and those countries also joined under false pretenses. It was sold as a new cooperative organization that was going to focus on cooperation and mutual security in Europe alone with Russia and other former foes.
Yugoslavia proved NATO was just an offensive war alliance that had no intentions of peace outside American dominance of the entire continent.
I mean shit. World domination is literally officially US government policy a few years later.
But I guess facts don't matter when you have a bunch of Cold Warriors desperate to be relevant again.
