And the complicit media gave Trump a lot of free favorable coverage in the 2016 Republican primaries, hoping to make him the Republican candidate that they thought Hillary would have the easiest time defeating in the general election.

They underestimated Trump, and also underestimated Hillary's ability to screw things up, although her losing the nomination to an unknown 2-year freshman senator in 2008 should have given the complicit media a clue.
