Some places in some states have banned them altogether !

Guy says to a woman let's have sex. She says I'd love to but I've got no form of birth control. Guy says come on let's risk it - obviously he's not going to get pregnant.

If she says OK let's do it who's responsible for her pregnancy?

@Picklebobble2 But they're not. The man won't get pregnant, the woman made a decision that she knew may result in her pregnancy. Her pregnancy not his. She should have said no.

Consider a bank. They have a vault containing all their cash. The only person that controls access to that vault is the bank manager. Nobody gets in the vault without their permission. The bank manager has had a long career to earn responsibility for controlling access to that vault.

Of course it's possible some criminals could demand access to the vault with threat of violence/shooting people. The manager would grant access on the basis that human life is worth more than the money in the vault, the bank would understand this. Nobody could blame the manager for allowing the vault to be robbed. The manager could legitimately say they were a survivor of a robbery as they avoided death/injury.

Now consider some sweet talker chatted up the manager and promised sex/romance if they were allowed in to the vault. The manager knew they shouldn't do it but gave into their urges and allowed access despite the obvious risk. The sweet talker robbed the vault. Nobody would defend the manager - they'd be fired for being an idiot.

Now replace bank vault with woman's vagina.
