Was Reagan the last republican president that was a good president

I would argue he was not a good president of any stripe.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow well, at the time we had just gotten through the chaos of the late 1960s and the Vietnam war, watergate, followed by gasoline lines and hyperinflation. The bar was pretty low. I think the “trickle down” economic theory was and is a bust and Reagan completely ignored some major issues (AIDS) and laser focused on the Cold War. But he had a likable and witty personality, and after 10+ years of negative events, people welcomed the relative stability.
@trollslayer There is also the fact we still don't know for sure how much he was even aware of and how much was done by his staff while a confused old man smiled for the cameras.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow for sure! But, some argued the same about Biden. I’ve watched two family members decay through alzheimers, and Reagan clearly was showing early signs.
@trollslayer No doubt. Biden and Trump too. Even Trumps speech patterns are more and more jumbled.

And when you go from a question about your economic policy to babbling about a dead golfer's junk something is off.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow @trollslayer I believe his wife Nancy was running the show because of his decline
@JohnOlinger81 Quite possible.
