Of course, as usual, Trump has his history all f***ed up. World War II didn't end until September 2, 1945 when the Japanese government signed surrender documents onboard the battleship USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay.
But if he wants to designate September 2nd as World War II "Victory Day" and make it a federal holiday I'm all for that.
And while he's designating war victory days, here's another federal holiday that I'd like to see: V-E Day. That would be Victory Over England, September 3, 1783, the day the British signed a formal recognition of the United States, thus ending the Revolutionary War.
That's the war when, according to Trump, "we took over the airports."

Not in favor of war recognition. Here is partially why:

Yet this happened afterwards...
The British attacked the United States for the second time during the War of 1812, specifically when they captured and burned Washington, D.C. on August 24, 1814.
Knowing Trump he would make January 6th 2020 a national holiday as well going down that route.

January 6th is not currently a federal holiday in the United States, but there have been discussions and proposals to designate it as "Democracy Day" to commemorate the events of January 6, 2021, when the Capitol was attacked. As of now, it remains a regular day without official holiday status.
Trump would love this idea and make it work for him. Rioting is democracy to him.
