@Northwest i don’t know a single “liberal” who is against free enterprise. Usually, quite the opposite. They just want a “fair” business environment where upstarts can compete against corporations.

@AthrillatheHunt because those “tariffs” give large corporations a competitive edge. If you believe these tariffs promote even trade, then you have drank the kool aide.

Unless you are a completely US business (unlikely), there will be increased costs on materials. Large corporations have the capital to spread that cost out or find other sources. Small businesses do not. Very few businesses these days do not use imported materials to some degree.

@trollslayer I never said getting even , (that reeks of vengeance ) . I’m talking about fairness . Parity. Charge them what they charge us. In a capitalist society fairness IS what’s best for all businesses . Fair competition .

@trollslayer he’s using the threat to get them to do what he wants at the border . He needs their help to achieve his border goals . Threatening them this way is 1 way of going about it . Probably not the best way .
