Well I’m sure this question is bait but in the context of the cave, the question is “which group of people will realize that the description of reality they’ve known their whole life will be shattered once they are exposed to new and different ideas and information”

And in the context of that question you ask whether the group of people that say “we already know everything and the way things are is the way they should always be” or the group that says “we now understand better and the things we once thought we knew are wrong” will be more akin to those in the cave

The answer to your question is definitionally conservatives. Beyond what you think is right or wrong it is definitional. But they will also, by definition, not see that

That’s not a failing on their part

@PalteseMalconFunch it's not bait as I think the answer could be both. As in the story of the blind people trying to determine what an elephant is by touch. There are a lot of religions, each one thinking that it is the true one. I think political thought is similar. Economic theory also has different adherents. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder?? Perhaps the key is fear. If one is afraid of looking at alternative thoughts or being open to change that is an issue. We had a farewell dinner for a group of visiting Tanzanians' at our chuch last night and when asked what surprised them most was when the male visitor said, "Seeing men cook.". In his country men are the kings and women are to serve them. Intolerance comes in many forms.

@Tastyfrzz I can appreciate what you’re saying but what’s the both sides of this?
