Trade Retaliations

Is the US opposing threats against other nations in order to get them to cease dealings with China? China will retaliate against those countries if they comply with the US, probably by cutting off whatever trade they're doing.
Kind of silly move ...... China has 2 billion people ......... China has impressive military personnel ....... and who knows what amount of nuclear weaponry ........ China doesn't owe any country but many countries owe China ........ And China owns land in a few different nations. So whatever pact the US has the other countries, China may do and maybe do it better especially if China leaves the governing factors of the countries alone.
