Who's In Charge?

This morning, Trump fired Gary Shapley, the acting IRS commissioner. The latter was appointed a few ago, as part of the new regime.

This came after Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told Trump that Gary Shapley was placed in the position without his knowledge.

Trump initially said he knew nothing about it. But Bessent made it clear that this was done at Elon Musk's direction.

Which is kind of weird, because the position reports to Bessent, and Musk doesn't have a government job that allows him to hire and fire all over the place.

So, I wonder, how the fuck did Gary Shapley end up getting hired in the first place, if the President has no idea, and the Sec. of Commerce has no idea either.

Who's in charge and who's minding the fucking shop, and by shop I mean ALL of our most secured data and by OUR, I mean everything who's ever had a Social Security Number in the USA.

Not to worry, he'll have it all taken care of before his golf game.

FearlessLeader has a court (like any other monarch), and there are power struggles between his courtiers. Nothing unusual – it's not a republic anymore.
So, in less than 4 complete months, the IRS is now about to be on their 5th IRS Commissioner?

Sure seems like a stable genius is in charge...
@sstronaut Actually I'm mistaken, it's technically less than 3 months (January 20th to April 18th) that we've had now had 5 IRS Commissioners (mostly acting commissioners).

But I think that's a record to have 3 in that short of a time span, and now we've had 5.
Seems like whomever talks the loudest last is in charge... as that's whom Trump seems to blindly follow.
