@Baremine But i t is hard to respect an israel that does noit love its neighbour, does not forgive its enemy, and does not turn the other cheek, but insteads pursue tactics that those that brought about the holocaust would have bene proud to deply and those that foughts against the axis powers would use as justification for having opposed while fighting the Second World War and droppng the atom bombs.Mass genocide and ethnic clensing does not justify mass genocide and ethnic clensing - particularly 80 years after the event because you are doiing it to the childrens children of innocent victims who just happened to be living in the holy land at the time the religeous zealots decided it should be restored to the jewish peoples. In human terms its a right mess. In religeous terms as yoiu say it is the path toward the end of times and the restoration of the kingdom of heavan - rule by alien angels of whatever it is. It woukd cure overcrodwing but it would probabky destroy al sea life bar infusoria and make most of the world uninhabitable - including the holy land - and wipe out nealry all humans and nearly all human culture but what the hell eh. we can just let any remaining radiation mutated members of the human race build up a culture form nothing all over again and forget the lessons of the past just as we have forgotten the lessons of the early and middle 20th century - because humans are stupid at the end of the day so God made a huge mistake in ever leaving oursleves in charge of our own destiny and that of the world. His garden of eden will be right royally shafted.

@Captain actually if Israel would have followed God's commands they would have wiped those nations off the face of the earth long before Christ came into the earth. That is a spiritual war over there.

@Baremine And we are not a country driven by religeous dictates in the UK. Its an interestng question to ask you actually. Under republican, or is the trumponian law, are you a Christain fundamentalist society. that seems an odd question to ask given your leaders past history of sexual misdemeanours but his rhetoric and policies seem quiet christian doctinal and soime of his supporters anti muslem comments are right out their in plain speak, most notably abiout us becioming a muslem caliphate.

@Baremine Also a significant number of Palestinians are christian and some are even Jewish.

@Captain In 1947 about 50% of Palestinians were Christian. Most of them were direct descendants of ancient Jews. After the fall of Jerusalem most Jews were not forced out of what was then Judea. However most of those who remained converted to Christianity. The people now occupying the land we call Israel can not trace their ancestry back to ancient Judea. They are the descendants of group of Eastern European people who converted to Judaism so they wouldn't have to convert to Christianity. Thus the myth that these are Jews returning to their homeland and reinhabiting unoccupied land is completely false. In fact the biggest killer of semites are the Jews who are not semites at all.

@hippyjoe1955 I didnt know the exact history but I had heard something similar before. All I know is if yu go to ISrael at Chritmas time, they will sell you Christmas cards which I think speaks for itself.
