I really hope you’re right. His impeachment would send a good message to everyone and maybe America might be able to be respected again.

I think you are focussing a bit too much on Trump here...
If he goes away, who follows him up? J.D. Vance? ... because without new elections, you are pretty much stuck with the G.O.P., who at the moment are loyal to all those backers of the Herritage Foundation and the entire Conservative news circus that bombards people with falsehoods. You'll still have a 35% indoctrinated electorate to deal with, that will just rationalise everything away by blaming some out-group they don't like.
Focusing on Trump, seems useless to me at this point. There is just a bunch of people begging to be safed by some authoritarian guy that blames everything (even their own mistakes) on people they don't like.
... next to all that... I still don't see any of this passing the senate. Because those 35% are the ones that have guns to save themselves from tyranie... by installing their own tyrant. And republicans have already expressed, how they are being threatened by the most vocal and violent segment of their voters.

No, i am saying democrats these days are less likely to check the box for pure partisan reasons. They are capable of being objective and actually being critical of their party. With MAGA, 35% most of them would freely let Trump crap down their throats.

It won’t take long, maybe mid April.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
45% of the voters in Wisconsin still voted for his pick for the state supreme court..😷

Shouldn’t take long! He’s clueless, this afternoon he said things are going good.
BiasForAction · M
38% of the populace will support him no matter what.
trollslayer · 46-50, M
@BiasForAction you really think 38%. I have a feeling a few MAGA will jump ship.
BiasForAction · M
@trollslayer I’ve been thinking some would jump ship for many many years now. I’ve been wrong so far
trollslayer · 46-50, M
@BiasForAction true. I thought many would bail after Jan 6th. But this time it will hit them in their pocketbooks. When covid hit, they could blame that rather than trump’s incompetence. This time?
