People are protesting. They're also voting. A judicial election in Wisconsin drew almost as many voters as a typical midterm election - almost unheard of for a wonky special election. There were several yesterday, and the Democratic candidates either won outright, or did much better than expected, even in deep-red areas in Florida, like Matt Gaetz' old district.
Right now, no one is standing up to Trump except a few governors and judges. The Democrats in Congress can't do anything except talk, and the Republicans are, for the most part, terrified that Musk will fund a primary challenger. However, one electin that Musk poured millions into went for the other candidate, proving that he's not a kingmaker.
As Trump's popularity declines, and lawmakers realize that they can oppose him without any consequences, we're going to see more pushback. It's only been a few months since the inauguration, but it feels longer because of the blizzard of shit the administration spews on a daily basis - invading Greenland, annexing Canada, tariffs for everyone, trans kids - by the time you address one thing, a dozen more things have happened.
Trump's administration this time is also stocked with incompetents, whose only qualification was their total loyalty to him. One result of that was the recent Whiskeyleaks (or Signalgate) scandal. Right now, our remaining allies must be having second thoughts about sharing any sensitive intel with these clowns.

@KunsanVeteran I am not talking about going to war here. This sort of thing can be as simple as in Poland where women shut down every major road in and out of Warsaw with demonstrations crippling the capital.
Hold sit ins. You can't shut down a government office if you can't get in the front door. Look at some of the tactics from the Battle of Seattle that succeeded.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Neither am I. I am talking about how tRUMP has arrived at this point by building a cult of unstable people. Both assassination attempts were by disenfranchised former tRUMP cultists who finally came to the realization that tRUMP had lied to them. With as wild as this second misadministration kicked off, it’s reasonable to assume a ratcheting up of such attacks.

@LeopoldBloom That election does give some hope that the Constitutional processes haven't yet completely broken down.
