Retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Dan “Razin” Caine, President Donald Trump’s nominee to be the next chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, denied on Tuesday that he had ever worn a Make America Great Again hat, despite comments by the president saying otherwise.

So, who do you believe is telling the Truth? tRUMP who has repeated this over, and over, and over again ad nauseam or Caine who has denied it once under oath?

First, auto correct changed the spelling of the General’s name. When I came back to proofread I caught the errors but was unable to correct it in the poll questions.

The correct spelling is “Caine.” The error was inadvertent and I apologize.

But why it matters: if tRUMP is lying, then he is falsely telegraphing that he expects Caine to be loyal to him and not his oath as an officer. tRUMP has clearly demonstrated that he has no respect for the Constitution and the rule of law. And that includes the Law of Armed Conflict.

If Caine is being deceitful, then he has already confirmed his willingness to follow tRUMP’s orders over his Oath of Office and the Constitution.

@Elisbch Very true. In fact, if Caine were true to his oath and to the Air Force Core Values, he would have immediately withdrawn from consideration because tRUMP was telegraphing that he was willing to sacrifice his integrity for the job.

He would not have presented himself, in his uniform, for the hearing.
