After watching Trump's press conference, the only logical explanation is that he's gone howling mad.

@TyphoidJerry: I couldn't believe when he refused to take the question from CNN. Imagine Obama shutting down a fox news reporter like that!? I think he doesn't understand the basics of democracy and he has definitely not read the US Constitution.

What drives me nuts is that the fake news thing became about because of news that was actually fake. Like facebook shares of fabricated news stories from news organizations that do not exist. Fake news doesn't mean "news I disagree with".

I didn't accuse him of lying - well on this occasion. Instead I'm marveling at how he basically rage-quit his own press conference, and then had HIS LAWYER SPEAK FOR HIM.

@TexChik I have since seen what had cnn in a tit. Trump was right to refuse to allow that cnn twit to grandstand and interrupt so he can get his 2 minutes of fame. And I also saw how he characterized it on cnn later. Total lie. This is the reason for a lot of the press briefings being off camera now. And it does seem to have quieted the media's urge to be grandiose. Problem solved.

@TexChik the media is whining a lot louder than they did when Obama refused them access. I'm sure you remember that, one issue was he refused to allow the media to bring in cameras and the WH provided a couple pictures of their own so they could make it look how they wanted it to look. and how there were hardly any press briefings until the media whined like little children.
