Is Musk destroying democracy?

From Seattle to Miami, anti-Musk protesters gather at hundreds of Tesla locations.

At a "Tesla Takedown" rally in Los Angeles on Saturday, a protestor, aged 65, said he felt compelled to join because he believes President Trump and Musk pose a threat to democracy. "I want to do everything possible to protect democracy in this country," he said. "Trump and Musk are acting like kings."

Organizers say the Tesla Takedown movement is fueled by anger over Musk's slashing of the federal government, and that it aims to hit the billionaire where it hurts — the electric vehicle company that's become his main source of wealth.

What do you think?

First of all having a large overbearing government is not democracy. Point to where he is destroying democracy democracy is your right to choose your elected officials the majority of Americans chose Trump and his plan. He never hid the fact that he was going to have musk lead a team to cut waste fraud and abuse. Tell me what he has cut that you 100% support. And you better do your research because most of what the news is telling you is not what he is cutting he's not cutting off for children and third world countries from getting food.

@dale74 so well said: the Liberal Hivemind is so brainwashed that all the Puppet Masters have to do is place a word or phrase as a 'word/phrase of the week' and they say it countless times until thet get told what the new 'word/phrase of the week' is - this week it's 'Democracy' {threat to}

@dale74 no candidate received a majority of votes (greater than 50%. Check for yourself. The results are being slowly changed to support trump; daily. On the night of the election it was 48.7 to 47.8; that's when ms. Harris conceded. now its 48.3 to 49.8
Literally No one "won".

@exchrist good thing we're a constitutional republic instead of a democracy
exchrist · 31-35
@dale74 i guess except its an oligarchical republic with democratic election that has a constitution for guidance. The constitution is often disregarded.
Stuck with institutions created to account for aspects of society that are no longer in place.
It all boils down to money and age.
Religion and military.
Ww2 is over. . . Maybe we the people should let our representatives know that?
dale74 · M
@exchrist Bernie Sanders is saying we're going to have an oligarch in this country since 1995 that's 30 years and we still don't
exchrist · 31-35
@dale74 trump is trying
dale74 · M
@exchrist by definition every politician except for a handful that is exponentially increase their wealth would be an oligarch this would include probably 95% of senators and congressmen.

Most of them made their fortunes through insider trading by knowing government purchases before they were announced to the public purchasing the stock at the low price selling it just after the government announcement making their money. If they weren't in government and had an exclusion they would all be charged for insider trading just like Martha Stewart.

@dale74 and that is a change id support. Down with oligarchs AND pay the debt!
dale74 · M
@exchrist only reason I support Trump over the other person is Trump made his money outside of the government same with Elon musk. Politicians that make money off of taxpayers and inside her knowledge should be locked up
exchrist · 31-35
@dale74 i mean salaried civil servants pay taxes on low wage. Im unconvinced trump pays taxes at all. My main objection.
dale74 · M
@exchrist well if he didn't pay taxes he would have been in court for it over the last 4 years they even changed the statute of limitations so they could actually charge him with those 34 accounting errors that they racked up to a felony which had never been prosecuted on anyone in history
exchrist · 31-35
@dale74 bc he hadnt paid appropriate taxes?
exchrist · 31-35
@dale74
also there have been numerous lawsuits over the yeaes.

@dale74 Trump Derangement Syndrome is when Trump does something deranged and you notice it.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is when Trump does something deranged and you notice it.

When what Trump does is noticed as deranged, Trump Derangement Syndrome is indicated.
@sree251 You're right. Rambling incoherently about sharks and Hannibal Lecter is a perfectly normal thing that we all do.

We are all normally crazy.

@dale74 actually a majority of americans did not choose trump or his bs. Trump got 49.8% and kamala 48.3%. No one received a "majority of votes". A plurality but in a literal sense no one won.

The antiquated electoral college which was designed to account for non-voting slaves prior to the emancipation proclamation (the 3\5th compromise; if you recall);

Selected a convicted felon and delusional retiree to lead our nation into bankruptcy.
Reality doesnt change when you keep.parotting a lie!

Ignoring the truth of the election which should be recomduct based on no one receiving more than 50% of votes.

@sree251 not at work though
