The GOP priorities have never been about lowering grocery prices. The reason they try to seem like they value human rights is to win votes. Those votes are more for others than the actual base as the base knows what's up.
The Gop does it for the fence sitters, moderates and also Democrats who might flip republican in case they been watching too much Fox news and decided that's the final straw.
Decided they're not voting Democrat this year cos some anchor managed to blame an issue the former Democrat had on the Democrat party regardless if that's the actual cause or not.
Let's not forget the people who used to be left but then had some nonsensical awakening where now they are right winged but go way far right instead.
GOP's real goal is forcing women to have babies, book bans in schools, banning black and LGBTQ+ women in schools, destroying black veteran memorials, segregation in the military and in other places, rolling back women's rights, killing immigrant children and making sure black, women, lgbtq+, veterans, disabled people don't have equal opportunity under the law i.e. DEI
This is what they really care about, their base already knows this as that's what they voted for. Saying they want to lower food prices are really just for fence sitters and others
