Anything that is made of cloth is made in China because machines called 'looms' are not made in the USA, they too are made in China. Having said that, China make the most technically advanced 'looms' in the garment industry.
The reason plastic items are made in China is because the USA does not possess natural resources that resin is derived from, but Canada does. Canada exports their raw natural resources to China who then make plastic items from those raw materials who then sell them to the USA.
Of interest, Canada manufactures it's own plastic for plastic-made stuff and then distributes it within Canada and exports it to the USA and Europe.
