There are many third/independent parties in the US, but they've had little electoral success so far.

We seem pretty wedded to the two-party system we have right now and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

@AthrillatheHunt There are two major political parties in the US and the policy differences between them are significant. I don't know anyone who would disagree with this.
