#Fafo Season: Nebraska Maga Farmers Breakdown & Regret Voting Against Their

[media=https://youtu.be/veb9JUexRmk]

I told you US Natives would never show up in wide enough numbers to ever replace the immigrants, even the undocumented immigrants, Which I know is a hot button thing to say which will make some immigrants testy like wahhh wahhh wahh we came here legally everyone should. Oh, Should I call a Whambulance for you?

Like it or not, our Economy now runs on Undocumented immigration, and to everyone like they should come on VISAs, like It's not that I disagree, but, Our Government has always short-changed the number of VISA's that industry actually needs to do everything by the book, they've never issued as many as we'd actually need.

In a lot of ways, illegal immigrant workers exist as a stopgap to fill in the holes left by the fact that we don't allow for enough legal immigration to do all the work that needs doing.

The obvious solution to this is to stop short-changing the number of Legal VISAS we issue, but, Congress will never actually do that.

Why not? The work in the Fields is backbreaking, there's never any AC, it's outdoors, in the Brutal sun in many places. White natives want to work but they want to work somewhere comfortable.

And China has just reported it is placing tariffs on American agricultural products in response to Trump's tariffs on Chinese electric cars, etc. Looks like farmers are taking the brunt of the decisions.
@Richard65 Last time around when farmers were taking the brunt, Congress gave them $12 billion in handouts (above and beyond all the usual agricultural subsidies). With all the cost-cutting going on, it's hard to believe Congress will be so generous this time.

July 25, 2018
... The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced a $12 billion three-part plan that would borrow money from the U.S. Treasury to pay producers of soybeans, sorghum, corn, wheat, cotton, dairy, and hogs.

The USDA also will buy the surplus of commodities that would otherwise have been exported and distribute them to food banks and other nutrition programs. That will cover fruits, nuts, rice, legumes, beef, pork and milk.

Unfortunately this administration THINKS it can replace them with automation.

This is being ignorant of the fact that it's not possible for that to happen.

Maybe in fifty years. Yet not now.

@pentagrammom I do recognize that automation can do certain things. It's happening in factories and warehouse now under supervision of some people.

Yet it's only on certain things and even that is human supervised. For a good reason.
@DeWayfarer pushed to far using children, that Will be its downfall, guilty parties of any kind to o down, smith waterman choose the protector
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@pentagrammom that part won't happen. Children need supervision.

Automation is cheaper than children.
