We're about to save a gazillion dollars in Ukraine. And I’m okay with that.

Photo above - AI rendering of yesterday's televised white house meeting between Trump, Zelenskyy, and Vance.

Wow . . . we are sooo going to save HUNDREDS of billions. US involvement in Ukraine is winding down. Putin is jubilant. I’m okay with the US folding on a bad hand, but not Putin taking the pot. Is there a solution to all this?

Everyone has probably seen the 3-way catfight between Trump, Zelenskyy, and Vance by now. All 3 are idiots, so I’m not going to assign blame. Hey guys, the effing camera is on. That’s what the blinking red light means. This is a thousand times worse than being caught on open mike, (See link below if you missed yesterday’s episode of must-see TV).

There’s no obvious way to de-escalate this unless someone holds a press conference and says they were wrong. And that won’t be Trump or Vance. Why was Vance even there? He and Hegseth just screwed things up in Europe, problems which Secretary of State Rubio is still trying to fix. Vance brings negative energy wherever he goes. Hillbilly Hell-egy!

Zelenskyy isn’t going to cave either. He has no reason to. He’s in the midst of a tough re-election campaign, and the sentiment of Ukraine survivors and next of kin won't be to make it all meaningless in the end. Nobody wants to be the lapdog of the US President, whether it's Trump or Biden . . .

So . . . we stop sending cash and tanks and jets to Ukraine. But maybe they DON’T lose? Maybe the UK, France, Germany, and whoever else in NATO which has more than 3 operational aircraft . . . maybe THOSE nations do what they should have done back in 2022. Issue a declaration: “This is now a NATO operation. We have declared a no-fly zone over all of Ukraine. Any thing violating this airspace will be shot down. Any missiles and drones are fair game too, and we will bomb the airfields they were launched from. Have a nice day.”

NATO was too chicken$hit to stand up when this thing started. They have to own it now. Whatever happens, it's on them. Enjoy your cheap Russian gas as long as the pipelines survive, guys.

Yeah, this means calling Putin’s bluff. Nobody really believes he’s going to nuke London, Paris, Berlin, and Rome. If he did, World War 3 would be on, like King Kong. The Russian generals are scared of Putin, but they’re don't want their families incinerated instantly in a counterstrike. Either the Ukraine ground war continues, with ambiguous results, or Putin falls out of a hotel window. Or his jet crashes. Or a bomb goes off under his limo. Or he falls ill after eating raw clams. Anything along those lines is feasible.

Europe is waaaay behind on its NATO dues. The US has been covering their asses for decades. This is the part Trump actually gets right. Ukraine is a European problem. Get busy and fix it, you preening smart alecks. Stop bragging about your free healthcare, and start defending yourselves.

I’m just sayin’ . . .

Like saving money matters with the wealth disparity of this country. I guess the elite will be happy with the extra in their pockets. I just wish the US kept its allies and a good standing on the global stage.

We spent more there than we spend on our own military in one year and that is supporting the Navy Air Force Marines Coast guard and army

They cannot declare it a NATO operation without the US either, there is a deal in the making but the cost for the Ukraine has just gone up
