It was the day that America decided to turn its back on its European allies and align itself with Russia. It’s their choice.
@Sterler45 America turned it's back on Europe when he started handing out tarriffs and threatening to invade countries for no reason. America is no different to Russia now.

@HootyTheNightOwl I agree. America has made its choice and I no longer consider it a reliable ally.
@Sterler45 I called it with this land grab days ago and the Americans I spoke to couldn't understand what I meant when I said that Russia isn't going to stop with just getting Ukraine.
It might ceasefire for a couple of years to recoup and stock up on ammo, but, soon enough, it will look to expand again - and Poland will look very attractive then since Russia will already have what used to be Ukraine. It won't matter, though, because America will be there to offer some sort of shady mineral deal in exchange for pulling Putin off.
As much as I love my friends in America... I don't trust the country as an ally anymore.

@HootyTheNightOwl I agree with all you’ve said. America has make its choice now and it’s time we looked after ourselves. America wants to align itself with Russia so let them.
They should know from history that ignoring the world will only after time drag them back in.

@Sterler45 A part of me worries that we might end up as we did in WWII... but, I know that doing nothing cannot be an option anymore.
Just look at that video in the WH and imagine how bad the USSA must have been bullying Ukraine in the talks where they wouldn't allow other counties they claim to be allied with to be present. Just the footage we have seen looks bad enough.
I'm not buying that Russia refused to allow other peacekeepers to be present for one second - not when Trump has been in Putin's pocket for so long.

@HootyTheNightOwl Whilst we can debate what the motives of the USA are right now, the reality is that they don’t want to back Ukraine anymore and wish to align themselves with Russia.
As a result, Europe must back and defend Ukraine. The USA will not get a good deal or outcome with Russia. However, it is their choice and let them leave with it.

@Sterler45 Trump might be right in that we are not ready for war, though... our recent efforts might be too little and way too late - unless we can form allies with other countries beyond the US.

@HootyTheNightOwl Exactly, sideline the US as that country isn’t an ally anymore.
