Justice Department asks U.S. Supreme Court to pause order on releasing frozen foreign aid funding

The Trump administration on Wednesday night asked the Supreme Court to pause a federal judge's order requiring the government to release frozen foreign aid funding by midnight.

The Justice Department had filed a similar request with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, which denied the appeal minutes after the administration went to the Supreme Court.

UPDATE:
SCOTUS has put a stay on the lower court ruling but has given a deadline of this Friday to the Trump administration to file briefs.

That we are heading for a disaster. I wish I was wrong, but I'm not.

Home sales are at LOWEST level in more than two decades.

Inflation is UP.

Unemployment is UP.

And now Musk wants to lay off 800,000 federal government workers. That's nearly a million people out of work, who will be collecting unemployment and NOT spending normally.

And Musk now wants to re-hire retired FAA air traffice controllers and pay them a HIGHER wage and a SIGNING bonus. (What are they? MLB free agents? What's next? Deferred compensation?)
