Trump budget bill extending first-term tax cuts survives House vote

The House of Representatives has adopted a resolution that will eventually become a massive multi-trillion-dollar bill full of President Donald Trump's priorities on the border, defense, energy and taxes.

In a major victory for House GOP leaders, the resolution passed in a 217 to 215 vote.

All Democrats voted against the measure, along with lone Republican rebel Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., who was concerned about its effect on the national deficit.

That's a hell of a hoot. DemoNazis worried about the national deficit when THEIR WELFARE SPENDING IS 70 PERCENT OF THE FEDERAL BUDGET.

As written, the House bill also provided $4.5 trillion to extend President Donald Trump's 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act provisions, which expire at the end of this year.

An amendment negotiated by House Budget Committee Chairman Jodey Arrington, R-Texas, and conservatives on his panel would also force lawmakers to make $2 trillion in cuts, or else risk the $4.5 trillion for Trump's tax cuts getting reduced by the difference.

So if you work a job, this bill keeps Washington from RAISING YOUR TAXES.

Those of you with a job will see the up side of this.

Those of you liberal Democrats who are ALL on WELFARE and don't work for a living, won't see any change whatsoever.
As far as the vast majority of America

Man if that is the best part of your day, then you do have my sympathies..😂
Let's be honest about the "Washington raising your taxes" bit.

That's actually the endgame of tRump's Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. That bill cut the rates of the richest few percent permanently, but only cut rates temporarily for the bottom majority of taxpayers. As tRump's law sunsets, rates go up for the bottom majority of taxpayers.

Just being honest about the reason for the tax increases on the horizon.

Website forcing political posts with no opinion to shut that off, only option is not logging on here, however I specifically log in to protest that forced agenda, the site needs at least one human, if not it shuts down like the last one did, my Charity work

@pentagrammom Can you give an example of a "Forced Agenda"
@DogMan here's the freebie, that is all

Thomas Massie is not a Democrat. He’s the only one who was concerned about the deficit.
@Theyitis he's a RINO, but he's definitely concerned about the deficit. He votes in favor of every pork filled spending bill to ensure the national debt is fatter than JB Pritzker.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
Your “welfare” spending must include social security and Medicare. Even Trump knows better than to mess with that. And if he tries, republicans in congress will suddenly grow a backbone

@DogMan
But why wouldn't anyone who's still working pay a lot for healthcare?
DogMan · 61-69, M
@swirlie We were told costs would go down once we went on Medicare, but they went up
because we are both still working fulltime. I think it is due to how much we make.

The more you make, the more you pay to cover people that don't work, or don't pay into
the system.

@DogMan
The exact or at least similar healthcare system is in place in Canada, where the more money you earn, the more you pay in healthcare premiums.

How much are your annual premiums for Medicare?
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
💯 percent true
swirlie · F
That's how America pays it's $36Trillion national debt, DON'T raise taxes!

Makes sense to me.

All the democrats voted against the bill, included in it, was no tax on tips, they just don’t want Trump to look good, it didn’t work though, did, why would anyone, ever, vote for the evil democrats
georgelong · 46-50, M
Indeed @ididntknow
This shows that the majority Trump holds is very thin. Get as much pushed through in 2 years as possible. Expose as much corruption as possible so people quit voting for thieves.

@Reason10 he definitely should, but they cheat. Maybe DOGE will wake up enough people.

@Reason10 The orange traitor is spending $10,000,000 tax money a month playing golf. At that rate he will have blown $480,000,000 tax dollars in 4 years.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@BizSuitStacy Time will tell if you were right to worship the orange traitor. Be sure to learn how to read, write, and speak Russian.
@Diotrephes 🥱...using the Putin Puppet narrative like a good little lemming. The rest of us figured out the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax back in 2017.

@BizSuitStacy Have you started your Russian language lessons yet? The clock is ticking.

Most welfare spending is for red states. Fact.

@jshm2 Please share the documents proving that Trump will raise taxes on the bottom
96% of Americans. I will not hold my breath. I am in that top 4% and my taxes keep going
up.
georgelong · 46-50, M
We are on the way to success. Let’s hope our minions in the Senate keep the ball rolling.
georgelong · 46-50, M
Didn’t you claim the cabinet wouldn’t get appointed? How the heck did you miss that one? @swirlie
