@thrash Marx's theory of societal change was about how technological changed economic relationships. Therefore there was a new balance of power that resulted in revolution and societal change. Marx envisaged industrialisation and an empowered working class carrying out a socialist revolution
Let's stick with the first part. We have seen technological change (crypto, cloud-capitalism, social media, AI) and changes in social relations (the decline in the power of organised labour and nation states). Power in society had shifted fundamentally. The difference is that this attempted revolution is coming from above, not below
