Totally OPPOSED to those $5000 rebate checks from the Trump presidency

This isn't going to win me any friends with my fellow mainstream conservatives here, but this is the problem with Republicans: We are the ONLY independent thinkers out there.

Elon Musk finds TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS in fraud and waste in government (which he probably will have for us in six months.) The WORST thing he could do is send out $5000 checks from those savings. That's called FLOODING THE MONEY MARKET, which is precisely how Adolf Biden spent us into the worst inflation of the century. Yes, the taxpayers were SCREWED out of that money. But the answer is NOT to just throw out a bunch of dollars.

If the government is smart, it will use those TRILLIONS to PAY OFF THE NATIONAL DEBT, AND LOWER DEFICIT SPENDING.

Wanna help the taxpayers? Find the trillions in savings. Lower government spending and pay off the national debt. Then LOWER OUR TAXES. Why GIVE us a lot of money when you can just allow us to KEEP a lot of money? Why should our tax dollars have to go through YOUR hands.

And lowering those taxes should be across the board. Let the achiever save a few bucks in taxes, especially since they put that money into job creation to help expand our economy.

No. He didn't find trillions; he's playing you. The topline on his wall of receipts https://doge.gov/savings says $65 billion but that topline doesn't match the sum of the contracts listed.

The only place 卐LON "publishes" alleged savings is on twitter on his "wall of receipts." And he's been silently removing items from it🤣😂

Nearly 40% of the federal contracts that President Donald Trump’s administration claims to have canceled as part of its signature cost-cutting program aren’t expected to save the government any money, the administration’s own data shows.

The Department of Government Efficiency, run by Trump adviser Elon Musk, published an updated list Monday of nearly 2,300 contracts that agencies terminated in recent weeks across the federal government. Data published on DOGE’s “Wall of Receipts” shows that more than one-third of the contract cancellations, 794 in all, are expected to yield no savings.

On the other hand, you are absolutely correct that a $5000 payment to every household is a terrible idea. That's tRump playing people again; congrats on not getting played by that one.

The reason 卐LON is making these unsubstantiated claims about $ trillions is to push thru a giant $4 trillion ten year tax cut based on "projected" savings. It's another rosy scenario that won't happen, and treasury will be left holding the bag. Again.

卐LON & the other billionaires don't want to do the sensible thing you suggested and see how much savings actually occurs. They really don't want to wait. They want to push the tax cut now while we're still in the dark.
