According to DataUSA:
The Trans population represents less than 1% of the total US Population so putting that against 35,481 means that there are about 350 trans athletes (if that) or less than 10 per US State across the many varied sports in all of America, so less than 1 trans athlete per sport, per State, as usual with Republicans, much ado about nothing. Statistics don't lie, Republicans do... It's pretty obvious that this isn't a significant issue but the Republicans are trying to make it one because they hate Trans people... 🤮
The workforce of Athletes and sports competitors in 2022 was 35,481 people, with 11.9% women, and 88.1% men. The age ranges that concentrated the largest workforce were 25 to 29 years (8,123 people), 20 to 24 years (6,386 people), and 30 to 34 years (4,853 people).

@spjennifer well, considering what I have heard directly from the voices of women, trans are physically stronger and it makes the competition lopsided especially in schools.
Unless each and every individual sports team from schools on up to professionals report the actual number of trans participating there is no accurate statistic. And how many do not identify themselves as trans. Heck there are many intersex people born today, don't know which gender they are, can identify with either sex from the eye point of view but the testosterone level is what tells the truth. And very few agencies actually do testosterone test. Uh oh that may become mandate at some point and female sports.

@Charity What is it about statistics that you don't understand? Even IF trans people comprised 10% of all competitive athletes (which they don't) that would still only be 3500 people in ALL of America or an average of 70 per State, across ALL sports and across ALL age groups which there are hundreds of in most States. Please stop fearmongering. I don't necessarily disagree that there should be tests, but not biological ones, make them physical tests, if they're that much stronger or faster or bigger, then disqualify them from competing or send them to the next weight or age class. Women are well capable of competing with Men in the Military but they're not capable of competing with trans people in some sports? get real...

@spjennifer you're the one that is using the words I don't understand because I do.
I have my opinions you have yours that is the differences between each and every individual that walks the face of this Earth do you understand that.
Fear mongering there is very little in this world I do fear. And what I disagree with I disagree with. I have had in my life friends who had gender issues both male and female. I didn't preach to them I didn't tell them they were wrong, that was their choice, as long as they didn't bring me into their sexual preludes, and we got along just fine.
A man should not compete against or with a woman and quite frankly a woman should not compete against or with a man in ""CERTAIN"" sports. Men are physically stronger than women which makes it lopsided.
As far as the military is concerned, there were reasons set up decades ago is why they didn't use those who had gender problems OR females in the military. That was and is a government decision.
Just like females started their own leagues because they knew they couldn't compete with men, let trans people start their own leagues, oh but it's not enough of them who has the desire to participate in sports. And since they maybe fear mongering of men they choose the female leagues.
