Yeah it's wonderful how Ukraine will become a Russian colony, similar to Belarus, with a "denazified" government. Looking forward 😕
emiliya · 22-25, F
@helenS You do realize that Russians, Ukrainians, and Belarusians descend from the same ancient state?
Ukraine will go back to being what it was; a country in Eastern Europe that has no business cutting a history and people off. It can have friendly relations with Russia, other neighbors, and USA now that Trump is in power. People across the world will start to get fed again, and no more men will be dying. Women will be able to return home, people will be able to travel to Russia and Ukraine, families will get their loved ones back, and the war will end.

@emiliya Honestly I don't know. 😐
How do you convince people that they would live long and would prosper if they stopped doing a holy war? If they just set up hotels and casinos and ice cream parlours at their part of the Mediterranean?
At least Trump supports Israel 100%, and that's a good thing 👍🏼

@emiliya Ukraine won't have friendly relations with Russia for many generations. What they did is inexcusably evil and they will be hated for it for decades.
emiliya · 22-25, F
@CrazyMusicLover Ukraine had an existing hatred for Russia. The Belarusians realize they are from the same people, but the Ukrainians have rebelled and tried to create a new truth for themselves. It began with the Cossacks.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@emiliya Oh, what new truth? They are an independent country with their own language. Of course there's pre-existing hatred and distrust in many countries after Russian occupation in 20th century. It only ended 35 years ago. But just as people finally started to see Russia as getting more civilized, they have proven that the ongoing distrust was completely justified.
emiliya · 22-25, F
@CrazyMusicLover How independent do you think they are? They allowed US government to infiltrate their country and cause a civil war. Is this what we call independence?
Ukrainian language comes from Old Russian, and the Ukrainian people from the same nation. Russia is a civilized country. It is a country with impressive history, culture, and magnificent literature. It too was occupied during the 20th century. Russia had revolutions and a civil war, and was taken over by communism, with little say from the people. Some Bolsheviks were born in Ukraine, some were Jews and not Slavs. It was a communist project, not a Russian project.

@emiliya How am I supposed to take anything you say seriously after that first sentence? You spin around Russian propaganda. Repeat what you read somewhere and instantly believed it. You know, the version of the story here is that it's the Russian government infiltrating Ukrainian goverment and Russians using weapons under the false flag attack at what was supposed to be a peaceful protest against Russian influence in Ukrainian institutions. And considering what is currently going on in other countries that once were under Russian occupation, we see a pattern in it. Their dirty misinformative and coercive methods didn't change.
emiliya · 22-25, F
@CrazyMusicLover How did you come to be so naive? Were your instincts beaten out of you as a child? Ukraine did not start a revolution on its own. The CIA organized mass protests and started a civil war. The war between Russia and Ukraine is what followed after.
“You spin around Russian propaganda.”
What Russian propaganda? Is it not a fact that Ukrainian language derives from Old Russian? Is it not a fact that Russia was taken over by communism too? Is what I said true or not?

CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@emiliya Yeah, yeah and protests in Central Europe are organized by Georgians and consist of 2/3 Ukrainians.. 😂 We heard it all. Who are you even to claim all these things with such certainty? A CIA agent?
I don't know origins of Russian or Ukrainian language and all the rest you were talking is absolutely irrelevant to current problem with the war. Actually, if you want to justify systematic murdering of Ukrainian civilians and destroying their cultural heritage with such argument, you just make it all worse. Ukraine isn't Russia and its borders were clearly set which Russia doesn't want to respect.

@CrazyMusicLover Not sure why this lady (or whoever that person is) follows the narratives of contemporary Russian imperialism to the letter. I would assume it's a paid scribe.
emiliya · 22-25, F
@CrazyMusicLover US government has ousted other governments in Europe. They have been successful with some, and failed with others. They tried it in Belarus and failed. In 2004 and 2014, they spent millions organizing protests in Ukraine. It may be true that some Eastern and Central Europeans want to look westward, but they are living in the past. They still think they are in the 80s and 90s. These types have a lot of catching up to do. We are now living in a world where America wants to isolate itself and put tariffs on everyone, a world where America no longer wants to carry Europe. Trump does not want to appease NATO, and he is leaving Europe to fend for itself. Pro-westerners in Eastern Europe will have to get with the program. Slovakia has a very good leader. His people should understand they will be rewarded by having friendly relations with Russia. The EU and NATO are dead without US, and Europe will have to go its own way. Slovakia and Hungary know what to do.

If you don't know, how can you say Ukraine has its “own language”?Is it a language or dialect? How would you know?
Why is history irrelevant to you?

@CrazyMusicLover He wants his country to have cheap Russian gas. This is a good thing. Why should people pay more to live? He does not want his country to be ruined by western progressivism. A wise leader will know that they have to keep the progressives out. He has been around long enough, and isn't going anywhere. If he were going to abandon his country for financial gain, why didn't he in his two prior terms?
There is no honor in politics. All Robert Fico can do is take the simple route and try to make sure his country does not get destroyed by absurd, anti-human, leftist agendas. This is what a leader has to think about in today's world. It is his job to hold his country together; we fall when there is disunity and when all care for the nation is lost.
