We have some capitulation in the US media (ABC, LA Times, Washington Post), but we also don't know what is not being covered. Trump recently called on a Washington Post columnist, Eugene Robinson, to be fired. He's still there, but the chilling effect has to be occurring.
Trump is trying to change libel law in the US, (which is very hard to prove against public figures) and I assume cases are working their way up to the Supreme Court who I assume will do his bidding.
Of course, the death threats and the existence of pro-Trump militias are surely chilling speech as well.
