“Not like us” . . . Democrats file suit to prevent Musk from cutting government spending.

Photo above - Samuel L. Jackson, dressed as Uncle Sam, introduces Kendrick Lamar at Superbowl LIX halftime. Lamar and Drake - a Canadian citizen who has migrated to the USA - are suing each other. In a parallel universe, the US and Canadian governments are, too.

Wait – did Trump REALLY flee the Superbowl in disgust because the Eagles were scalping the Chiefs? Um, not really. The president gave a half time interview supporting Musk, then took Air Force One back to the White House. At the same time, Kendrick Lamar was performing his controversial hit “Not like us”. But he was under a court injunction, and couldn’t use the real lyrics. You can't make stuff like this up.

Welcome America’s legal system, 2025. Where you can sue everyone, all the time, as a PR stunt.

I’m not taking sides here. Drake – er, I mean Democrats who are out of power – certainly seem all worked up. And to nullify election results suing everyone in sight is certainly a better option than sending rioters to the US Capitol on January 6th. Wait . . . what? Now democrats are besieging the California state capitol to protest Trump and Musk? Well, Kamala – during her campaign – did keep exhorting her supporters to “Fight like hell. When we fight, we win”.

But still, rioting to prevent the White House minions having read-only access to legitimate government records? This might be construed as suppression of evidence. Are they afraid something might be discovered in those actual records? No wonder Congress can never pass a balanced budget. They’re in fear for their lives.

I don’t expect Trump or Musk will bring us a balanced budget. I do expect democrats to lose most of their 1,000 court suits to keep Republicans from looking at the official government records.

I think spending at the Pentagon, USAID, The Department of Education, at Health and Human Services – EVERY government agency – should be subject the same rules. If we can discover how much a B21 bomber costs ($2 billion each, apparently), then we’re also entitled to know how non-military money is being doled out at home and abroad.

I’m just sayin’ . . .

In Super Bowl interview, Trump says Musk is "not gaining anything" with DOGE

Estimates say it cost taxpayers $15-20 million for Tяump to attend the superbowl, with all the additional security needed for an event with 65,000 fans.

Where is DOGE when we need 'em???
SusanInFlorida · 31-35, F
@ElwoodBlues every president attends a bunch of superbowls. don't make list dates and places for

- Biden
- obama
- bush
- clinton

there's really something wrong with your mind. Are baiting me to block you?
@SusanInFlorida No, Susan, the Tяump admin is NOT like those others. Those others funded USAID.

卐LON provided a list of picayune items - a million here, two million there - from the $40 billion USAID and considered it an adequate reason to shut down all of USAID. If that handful of items is sufficient reason to shut down USAID, then it logically follows that $15-20 million to attend half a superbowl ought to be sufficient reason to curtail presidential travel.

It's 卐LON's logic, Susan. I'm just applying it to other parts of government spending.

I did not bother to watch it, not interested in using the halftime show to make social statements. Like just plain entertainment.
Well whether it is about government spending or not the Democrats are right here. Elon is just a random civilian and DOGE is not a real agency so he is illegally accessing government systems.

Just like some Anonymous hacker is not going to get their way because they meant well or claimed to mean well.
SusanInFlorida · 31-35, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow elon is a government employee now. give yourself a reality check.
@SusanInFlorida No he is not. Because the "department" he works for is not legally valid. DOGE is not a legal entity.

The law still matters in Trumpistan....for now.

OK... Lets take a step back and look at this. How is this different from last term? or the term before that. Or the one before...You get the idea. One side does something. and the other side uses the courts, (or the senate) to block it so nothing happens. and there writ large is Americas problem. The country is in the $h*t and no one is doing anything about it..And hasnt for decades..😷

It's the same principle as when someone gets accused of being a Conspiracy Theorist ...

"Oh really, i must be get'n close to the truth if you're accusing me of that"

The more angry Hypocrats are at something, the closer to the CORRUPTION you're get'n

@BigGuy2 i'm a big fan of legacy TV shows like "Law and Order", and "Perry Mason".

Inevitably, when someone starts concealing or destroying evidence, someone on the show points out that only guilty people do this.

@SusanInFlorida well said, i agree
