Under Which Branch Of The Gov't Does The Treasury Dept Reside? 🤔

Representative LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) is calling for her constituents to shut the city down because Elon gets to peek into how the Treasury disperses funds.


Now why is this junior democrat beating the war drums? After all, the Treasury disperses our tax dollars. Doesn't the public have the right to know how and where its money is being spent?

And yet, Fiscal Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, David Lebryk, who worked for the Treasury for 3 decades, resigned from his post instead of complying with Musk's request for access to an audit. We aren't talking chump change. Lebryk had control of the Treasury Dept systems responsible for $6 trillion in distributions annually.

With respect to the junior Dem from NJ, this is a classic case where "the lady doth protest too much, methinks." Yet the Treasury Dept rolls up to the executive branch and Trump is the ultimate boss.
