I think he is more using tariffs as political leverage for other things i don't think he intends to keep them set at that.. i think it's a temporary thing.. but who knows
other countries will be more willing to negotiate better trade terms when they finally accept that the US doesn't have a lame duck president that can be manipulated & taken advantage of anymore...
