In the UK, where I live, the double Oscar-winning actress Glenda Jackson retired from acting to become a Member of Parliament. I've never agreed with her political views but I respect her for what she did. Donald Trump is a similar case. Slebs like Meryl Streep should, in my opnion, put their money where their mouth is and not just criticise from the sidelines.

I find it rather irritating when they start spouting off, regardless of whether I agree with them or not. It's often not the time or place and I'd much prefer them not too.

Rich and privileged celebrities have a right to make fools out of themselves, just like everyone else. In fact, most celebrities seem to do an excellent job of acting like a fool.

Have you ever heard of anyone who was influenced by anything those people say? Of course not. One day they'll comprehend that.

I think it is quite bigoted to talk about violence now and not say a word all these past years about all the wars Obama was involved in...but she has the right to do it, as any other American citizen, rich or poor, famous or not.That's freedom of speech.

And anyone has the right to criticise her words too. Freedom of speech.

They have large ego's and believe that the world quiets to hear what they have to say.
