I’ll give Trump credit for this..

I had to go to the 24 hour drugstore last night. Normally, there is a bunch of riffraff hanging around there at night, and a bunch of day laborers there during the day as it is in a Home Depot parking lot. Last night? Nothing. I don’t know the reason, but my suspicion is that some of those folks fear being picked up for immigration issues.

Not that I think this solves a complex problem, nor do I think scare tactics are good in the long run, but I can at least understand the motivation of Trump voters.

And yes, most anti-trump voters want immigration laws enforced, too, they just differ on the means and the long-term solutions.

While I agree with the core of your point, I believe scare tactics are a short term fix. They get the herd moving. Then you have a herd you have to stop. Migration is a simple fix. Jail and bankrupt the principles of any business found hiring undocument labor and inspect and enforce it. The labor will move on quickly. But be prepared for the cost of anything connected to the labour to rise.. But we all know thats never going to happen.😷
