To bring your small mind up to speed with the concept of gasoline prices, (and it's obvious your parents weren't even born in the last century) there is a group of oil speculators, who decide the price of a barrel of oil, based SOLELY on supply. If there is ANY hiccup in supply for any reason (even a boat engine backfiring in the Strait Of Hormuz) the cost of that barrel will go up.
After Katrina, there was a major oil spike because some oil platforms in the Gulf were destroyed.
Unelected Joe drastically slashed supply by shutting down ALL domestic energy production. That caused the gas prices to go from $1.98 to what we have now.
It took Joe quite a bit of time to do that.
When Trump erases the Joe effect and ramps up domestic oil supply, the speculators will bid down the price of a barrel. It took Joe a YEAR to ass fuck this country. It may take Trump six months to fix it.
