@MrBrownstone Exactly

@MrBrownstone it’s an established tradition that goes back years and years that only Democrats can preach politics from the pulpit tax free. If anyone else tries it they get pounced on by the media wing of the Democrat party.

@MrBrownstone social issues are not always the same as politics.

@Handfull1 Politics was mentioned in the question. But yes

@MrBrownstone Washington is 90%+ a Democrat city. And as I believe I understand, Episcopal churches are owned by the congregation that in turn hires their ministers and bishops. Since Washington is a political city, it’s likely that the clergy would be as political as the congregation.

The Democrat swamp is so deep in Washington that for non Democrats it’s like visiting a foreign country. Undoing that entrenchment is like trying to turn a 100 car freight train around. Maybe this is a good time to consider moving the federal government to some other place.

@Heartlander
it’s like visiting a foreign country

The irony is, that's not far from the truth. The times I've been, there are more foreign nationals walking around than US citizens speaking a dozen different languages

you'd probably see more asians at the Smithsonian than you'd see at an airport in Tokyo...🤔
