Americans ask yourselves to you want the Trumpiforation ( new word meaning taken over and ruined by Trump) of the Stars and Strips? Do you want see a flag with 54 stars on it , only have to change back after the USA has a humilating claim down after defeats in international law suits

Dave, Dave! In the case of Canada, they would be much better off than under the domination of the Trudeau family. They are getting foreign aid from this country now, but I dare say they will get more help as part of the U.S.
Concerning Greenland, the U.S. built a military base in Greenland for the purpose of defending and defeating the nazis, of which the Danes were then under control by the nazis. So, the U.S. has some right-thinking reasons why we are a base in Greenland and hope that it would be good for the U.S. and Greenland for us to own the country. I am not a scientist, but I can envision a good outcome should we buy the state.

@MarthannBann888 The Thule Air Base was built in 1951 after an agreement with Denmark who is a NATO founding member. The USA want to continue to use the base but they don't want to be a NATO member any more! They want to buy the sovererign state of Greenland as if it was a fast food burger! Why should the Gieenlandic people give up there culture for an inferior US culture of fast food, arrogant self-righteousness and obesity, with no proper health care ? They would cutting their strong Nordic roots for an totally alien culture that has no conection to their own culture.

Because the current base was built in 1951 doesn’t mean we did not exercise a protective role in Greenland. After all we sent thousands of troops to Europe to play a leading role in aiding and protecting the innocent there.

@MarthannBann888 Thule Air Base should carry on being a forward US base. Greenland has foolishly even offered the US mining rights , The USA doesn't need tp buy it!

I think that your hatred is so strong that you cannot entertain even the slightest suggestion that there is anything or anyone that is good about this country. Such obvious hatred obscures insight. There must be someplace in the world that affords the wonderful luxury and advantages that the U.S. does that you could move to and forget all about the U.S.
