Joe Biden was asked by reporters if Trump should get any credit for the Israel ceasefire deal..

The short answer is, No.

The longer answer was along the lines of
We laid out the plans for this deal back in May.

We worked closely with the incoming administration team to make sure we are all on the same page to get this deal across the line.

The deal and ceasefire plus the lives it will save are more important than who gets or takes credit.

But go ahead, obsess away.

@RedBaron Trump will give himself undeserved credit at a later date. Biden was drawing a line in the sand as a time and reference point. Just to clarify.

@RedBaron Today, Trump wrote: “This EPIC ceasefire agreement could have only happened as a result of our Historic Victory in November..."

So, you're right. The lives saved are far more important than who takes credit. But, let him obsess away.
@Richard65 DJT ~ Pathetic!

@justanothername Nothing needs to be clarified, except possibly in your mind.

@RedBaron
The deal happened during Biden’s Presidency.
RedBaron · M
@justanothername Obviously. And?

@RedBaron Biden’s Presidency, Biden’s credit.
RedBaron · M
@justanothername And? You still haven’t explained why it matters.

@RedBaron Well you consider yourself to be clever, you figure it out.
…..

I’ll wait …

@justanothername No. You figure out why you’re so obsessive about things that don’t really matter compared to the real issues.

Very lame.
@RedBaron It appears, to me, that you are obsessing with your cynical opinion that it doesn't matter that a person/people, work at resolving a difficult problem should be given credit or recognized for it. You don't need to comment because your 'cynical' opinion doesn't matter to me.

@softspokenman He is being recognized for it. What else do you want?

But he also needs to be recognized for failing to honor his promise to serve one term and not stepping aside to allow a full primary process to nominate a stronger candidate than Harris and avoid the sh*t show that gave us Trump again.

Thanks but no thanks, Joe.

@softspokenman Perhaps a more consequential issue than who deserves credit is why it took so long to arrive at it.

It’s quite possible that the prospect of dealing with Trump and Netanyahu wanting to get on Trump’s good side caused Israel to accept terms they previously resisted.

The issue, you see, is not as simple as you make it seem.
