Classic Senator Kennedy at the Pam Bondi hearings

“The most destabilizing act that I saw in the past four years, maybe in the history of the department, is when Attorney General Garland decided, on the basis of dubious facts and untested legal theories, to criminally prosecute a former President of the United States.”

“This is America. That had never happened before in America. That’s the sort of thing that happens in a country whose Powerball jackpot is 287 chickens and a goat.” 🤣

"We are a nation of laws," not feelings. We are all expected to conduct ourselves in the context of the law, and when we don't, we are to be held accountable to "the people."
Only lawless people do not believe in the law.

@calicuz America used to be a nation of laws..In the bad old days is was more difficult to catch the seriously rich and powerful. But it could be done.. Now they make the laws so they cant be caught at all..😷

They just refuse to use the law against themselves. The law is for their political rivals and enemies. 🙄

@calicuz Yes. Which works fine as long as you keep it in the border and everyone plays by your rules..But America stepped into the global world after WW2 and ran it for a while. But is about to be told to take its bat and ball and go play elsewhere. And short of launching the nukes, there is no way to stop it..😷

Yes, it will be the US that is left out of the global economy.

@Kypro

Largest yes, but not the strongest anymore, not since we stoppeed having the dollar backed by oil, and the economy is too large to go back to the gold standard.
