There's a moderate Republican schism still. It's not all honky dory within the Republican party. 🙃

There's a huge difference between TV evangelists and unitarian Methodist.

Money being the difference. Carter was in debt by a million dollars when he left office.

Trump can relate to money in religion. Not helping the poor as Carter often did.

@DeWayfarer Carter was a Baptist who left the Southern Baptist Convention because of their backwards looking attitude to race segregation. As you say, he cared for the poor as Jesus did.
