Canada came through COVID-19 much better than we did, with lower death and infection rates per capita than many other countries, including the USA. So PM Trudeau did far better than most Heads of State did through that. Like most long-term leaders, eventually, they either step on their own feet or some scandal brings them down, PM Trudeau has weathered it all pretty well. I hope for my Canadian friends that Peter Pumpkinhead doesn't get elected as he's a very sad little tRump wannabe, except he's only the rump part.
