I actually cried a little last night when i heard my favorite president ever died last night

Jimmy Carter RIP, you humanitarian, you. You should have had two terms but the liars on the other side would not hear of it.

This country never deserved you....and now....Trump

He was the worst president in modern US history and was finally deposed in that cast of ignominy when Obama took the reins. Obama's tenure as worst president was short lived when Biden took over. Jimmie was what he was. Sadly his ideology did not mesh with reality and his every effort simply made things worse. I know he had the best interests of America at heart but the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Sadly some people don't realize that politics is not the way to bring about positive change in our world.

@HobNoblin Oh he doesn't care about you at all, it's you who chant "America first", therefore at most it's you who'll consider him an enemy.

All he cares about is having a cheap workforce for his businesses, and he'll do so by importing waves of immigrants (especially from countries like India) that'll work for him and won't cost him anywhere as much as hiring Americans

So true. I'll always remember how vilified President Carter was when he dared to suggest Americans deal with the fuel crisis by lowering their thermostats a bit and wearing a sweater in the house. HOW DARE HE! To suggest Americans actually sacrifice the slightest for the nation's good. :( And then perhaps it says it best: He put solar panels on the White House to lead the way in clean, renewable energy -- and as soon as Reagan got into office he had the panels removed.

@LILY61 I always thought Reagan the actor was basically an Errol Flynn wanna-be. I think I liked Bonzo better.
@ChipmunkErnie Dark victory... when he played the drunk....or the Winning Team

@LILY61 There was one film he impressed me in, can't remember the name, and I think the part was originally offered to Bogart.

He genuinely wanted to overhaul the tax system to benefit Americans at the expense of the rich. Unfortunately, he was played by a hostile Congress who wanted the opposite.

He was too good a man to ever be president. He was too good for this country

I neither cried nor laughed. I didn't react, except to note how lucky KKKarter was to have lived so long, even though his disastrous policies brought such death and human destruction to so many.

The world was spared domination by the Soviet Union when KKKarter LOST in a landslide to Reagan, (the BEST president of the 20th Century.)

He was the WORST of the 20th Century. He had Hitler look like a centrist.
