OK, sure, her boyfriend Ron Duguay came up with the Rangers, so she's being loyal to his old club. And, sure, eight games is a bit too much.
The guy is 6'9" after all. So just about any hit on most opponents is going to be around neck level. (But it also doesn't mean the guy need to be banished to the NBA, either.)
Still... at least a two-game suspension would be warranted.
