I think it’s time to ditch the politics. No one wants to listen to anyone anymore. People have made up their minds and will never change; not on this site, at least.
I’m out.
I’m out.

@Mesthartiya This ☝ see Becky get a hobby for the next 3 years. I will continue to engage you when I feel like it. But people including brick head me are ready for other subjects.

@Gibbon See what happened as a result of you, @Bill1372 and @pdockal tag-teaming against me on @FreeSpirit1's post?
I had to restrain myself there because it was @FreeSpirit1's post and I think it would have been impolite of me to use her post to mock and ridicule you guys. She often posts on interesting and provocative topics that should be used as a forum for polite discussion and debate, not personal attacks.
I need not to hold back on MY own posts, however.
Ignorance and naivety is one thing. And there's nothing wrong in not knowing something and it's usually great to learn something new.
But when false ignorance, feigned naivety or outright LIES are used as part of a personal attack on me, well, if you haven't learned by know, you can see that I do not hold back.
I do not care for many of President Eisenhower's policies. But I do appreciate one particular doctrine that was voiced in 1954 by his Secretary of State, John Foster Dulles. That being of "massive retaliation" in the event of an attack.
So when you naively fall for a two decades old hoax and then use that hoax to ridicule something I said, only for it to spectacularly misfire on you, and then you compound your error by trying to blame your gullibility on a deceased convicted felon, you can expect blowback in your direction.
But don't feel you're "special." 😉
What To Do About a SW User Who Thinks Hawai'i and the Philippines Belonged to JAPAN on December 7, 1941?

Oh, there have been others, too, since 2016.
I like a good debate. I also like it when agreement is reached on other issues. Politics is the art of compromise. And I am fairly tolerate of others' opinions.
But foolish behavior and comments attacking me or a position I have taken by taking advantage of the ignorance of others (and by "ignorance" I mean that not in any unkind way; after all, there are a lot of non-U.S. members on SW or members who just haven't the knowledge or interest in a particular issue and might fall for something that isn't true) is not something I take to kindly.
There's nothing wrong in a friendly disagreement. But post something blatantly untrue in an attempt to mislead other SW members and you'll get the Dulles treatment when I call you out on it to defend myself.
You ARE entitled to your opinion. But you are NOT entitled to your own facts.
