Is There a Behind the Scene Deal in the Works?

Trump's NY state felony convictions result in no jail time, deferred or otherwise.

But January 6th insurrection defendants receive no pardons until January 2029 at the earliest. They remain in jail thru Trump's term in office.

Where are you getting this? This would not only have been mentioned, yet as you pointed out yourself Carter blanket pardoned all the Vietnam military crimes at end of his first year in 1977.

Here is just one article of many, that don't say what you're saying, three days ago.

Once he gets in office, all deals are off. He would have no problem breaking any deals. He has already made promises, multiple times.

The deferment was already made shortly after it was confirmed Trump won. You think they will go back on that?

You think that Trump likes Biden's pardons? He would gladly break any deal, just for that.

Actually Biden should add to his list of pardons and include FBI director Chris Wray, now that he resigning. Trump is surely going to go after him. His own appointee or not.

@DeWayfarer I actually think the January 6th people will get out next year when Trump pardons them

@JohnOlinger81 that was a campaign promise! Long before he won.
Interesting thought, but I don't buy it. Its premised on Trump abiding by the deal, which is hard to even imagine.
@JohnOlinger81 I'd say "rocky" at the moment.

@MistyCee I hope our democrat party gets a better candidate lol maybe get rid of the woke stuff Im all for equality just not the extreme woke stuff
@JohnOlinger81 Nor am I, really, but the culture war stuff isn't, imo, important, compared to taxes, spending, foreign policy, infrastructure, etc.

Breaks a simple rule: you can’t negotiate with a domestic terrorist, so you can’t negotiate with Trump or his administration members.
