I didn’t vote Trump because I was raised with Christian values.

Anyone else?

That doesn’t make sense

@Jake966 why not? What is your definition of “christian values”? I define them as aspiring to be christ like.

@trollslayer Christian values are for standing against immorality like , abortion , the sterilization of children ( which they call gender identity ) , gay marriage , any political party that endangers the Nation of Israel

@Jake966 you have been misled.

@Jake966 If that's christianity, you can shove it. I'm sure glad I'm not one.
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@jackieash you don’t want to believe in what’s right ?
@Jake966 I do believe in what is right. And christianity isn't it.
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@jackieash what’s laid out in the Bible is the guidelines for all morality throughout the whole world
@Jake966 So you think you can only be "moral" by reading the bible? Some of the things in the bible are definitely on dodgy ground, morally. And the "guidelines," attributed to Jesus (New Testament) very often contradict those in the Old Testament. And do you think the followers of other religions are not "moral"? Doesn't sound moral itself, does it?
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@jackieash i’m not talking about the followers of other religions. I’m just saying that morality has been founded in the Bible and taken from there.
@Jake966 There were many civilisations long before the start of christianity, and they had their own code of morals.
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@jackieash wrong it all started with Adam and Eve
@Jake966 says
what’s laid out in the Bible is the guidelines for all morality throughout the whole world

And yet, somehow, this cruical advice about how to be prepared for the Second Coming keeps getting ignored!

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Matthew 25:35-40

Why do Republican self-described "Christians" think they can keep ignoring the least of these my brethren??
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@ElwoodBlues I don’t follow you what are you talking about?
@Jake966 I'm talking about the teachings of a man named Jesus Christ as laid out in a book called the Holy Bible. These teachings form the basis of a religion called Christianity. You said
what’s laid out in the Bible is the guidelines for all morality throughout the whole world
Seems you are unaware of the actual contents of this book you've been extolling🤣😂

To summarize the passage I've quoted, Matthew 25:35-40, Jesus is telling people how to prepare for his second coming. Jesus is teaching his followers to feed the hungry, take in the stranger, give clothing to those in need, help the sick, visit those in prison etc. You can find the same teachings in Isaiah 1:17, Luke 3:11, Mark 10:45, and many other passages.

Lemme tell ya, @Jake966, it totally cracks me up that you are so unaware of the actual teachings laid out in the Bible you extol🤣😂
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@ElwoodBlues what really cracks me up is that you assume that I don’t know much about the Bible, which I have completely read over and I also have studied it. If you’re talking about the way to get to heaven, it says in the Bible, unless a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of heaven, for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord
@Jake966 To summarize the passage I've quoted, Matthew 25:35-40, Jesus is telling people how to prepare for his second coming. Why do folks like you consistently IGNORE these passages if you're so familiar with them?????
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@ElwoodBlues I don’t ignore those passages. In fact I am the person who would gladly pull over and help someone change the tire if they need help. I’ve also given money to people who are out of gas and sitting at the gas station because they didn’t have any money to pay for it . But the main teachings of the Bible mainly the New Testament is believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved the rest all falls underneath that
@Jake966 And (tell me you didn't see this coming) when much much needier people come to the border?
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@ElwoodBlues OK, so this is a border thing?
@Jake966 No, this is a CHRISTIAN thing.
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@ElwoodBlues if you were referring to the immigrants that are coming over the border yes if they do come over legally, we are to take them in and bless them and help them, but if they just push their way into our country without going through the proper channels, they are criminals and they need to be deported everyone must follow the law . That is also talked about in the Bible
@Jake966 The vast majority come here requesting asylum, and are admitted pending an asylum decision. That court system is badly overloaded, with decisions taking a year and more. tRump wants to deport ALL of them, cancelling the TPS status of Haitians and others.
Jake966 · 56-60, M
@ElwoodBlues are you talking about the people who have signed up on the app that was given to them on the phone that was given to them by the US government?
@Jake966 Hmm. You do know "Adam and Eve" is a parable, right?
