Bernie Sanders blasts Democrats for their attitude towards Joe Rogan
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) criticized Democrats for their attitude toward Joe Rogan and other podcast hosts in Sunday comments.
Sanders joined CNN’s “State of the Union,” where he was asked by host Dana Bash about the blowback he received years ago after appearing on Rogan’s podcast and receiving his endorsement.
“Yeah, I think that’s fair enough. Look, you’re going to have an argument with Rogan, agree with him, disagree with him. But, what’s the problem with going on those shows? It’s hard for me to understand that,” Sanders said.
---
The problem is that when you go on a show when the host may have an agenda against you, the host is going to slice and dice your answers into an unflattering review of what you said.
Rogan endorsed Sanders in the Democratic primary in 2020.
Yet he has called Vladimir Putin "impressive", Prime Minister Trudeau of Canada a "communist" and ultimately endorsed Trump in 2024.
It's easy to go any broadcast if all you want to do is argue.
But when you're running for office you want a net positive out of it from the listeners.
I guess Bernie would have thought it a good idea for Kamala Harris to go on Mark Levin's show, too, or Rush Limbaugh's if he were still alive.
